Towns are protected claims of land maintained by a group of players. They are quintessential for the geopolitical experience, especially after joining a nation.
They have a green relational player tag to identify members of the same town.
Overview
- Towns cost 250 Florins to create. If you do not want a town yourself, you can feel free to join someone else's.
- After creating a town, you will have a level indicator on the menu depending on the threshold of residents you possess.
- Ruins - 0 residents; 0 chunks
- Level 1 - 1 resident; 64 chunks
- Level 2 - 3 residents; 128 chunks
- Level 3 - 5 residents; 192 chunks
- Level 4 - 8 residents; 256 chunks
- Level 5 - 12 residents; 384 chunks
- Level 6 - 16 residents; 512 chunks
- Level 7 - 21 residents; 768 chunks
- Level 8 - 27 residents; 1024 chunks
- Level 9 - 34 residents; 1280 chunks
- Level 10 - 50 residents; 1400 chunks
- There are 100 total bonus chunks that can be brought.
- To enable inter-town travel, you must place down a Station or Port plot.
- Station - A land waypoint that allows a player to teleport vehicles with them (such as horses). They have a distance limit of 20000 blocks and can only be made in continental biomes.
- Port - A sea waypoint that has no distance limit, but does not allow the transportation of vehicles. These can only be made in ocean biomes.
- You can claim an outpost plot for 500 Florins. Only one per town can be made.
- Towns can produce resources using /t resources.
- Towns will fall into ruin once upkeep for them is not paid and will be deleted after a day.
Commands
The primary alias is /town (or /t for short). This will show a player their town status. Using /t {townname} will show another town's screen.
- /twp is the main command alias for waypoints.
- /plot is the main command alias for plots.
Listed below is all enabled commands for the Towny plugin used.
Plots
- /plot claim - Resident command to personally claims a plot that are for sale.
- auto - Resident command to personally claim an area of plots that are for sale, around the player typing the command.
- /plot unclaim - Resident command to unclaim personally owned plots.
- circle/rect - Resident command to unclaim personally owned plots in a circle or rectangle shape.

- outpost - Set a plot to an outpost plot, costs the same as /t claim outpost.
- spawn - Sets the spawn point inside of an existing outpost plot to where the player is standing.
- station - Set a plot to a station plot. These can only be made on land biomes.
- port - Set a plot to a port plot. These can only be made on ocean biomes.
- name - allows a mayor or plot-owner to rename plots they own, overwriting the ~Unowned message. Personal-plots display both the plot's given name and the name of the plot-owner.

- fire - Turn on/off firespread in the plot in which you stand.

- mob - Turn on/off hostile mobspawning in the plot in which you stand.
- taxed - Turn on/off whether a plot will charge a plotowner taxes, while they own the plot personally.
- /plot clear - Command to remove list of block id's from a plot, used by a mayor on town-owned land, or by a plot-owner on their personal plots.
- /plot group
- add|new|create {groupname} - Creates a plot group where a player is standing, also adds plots to an existing group.
- remove - Removes the plot stood in from its plot group.
- delete - Deletes a plot group entirely.
- rename {newname} - Renames a plot group.
- set {plottype} - Sets the group to a specified plot type. Not able to be used for Jail plots.
- set perm ... - Used to set the perm line of the group you are standing in. See above section for /plot set perm for remainder of commands.
- toggle ... - Used to toggle plot settings. See above section for /plot set toggle for remainder of commands.
- forsale|fs {price} - Set the group for sale at the set price.

- plotprice {$} - Sets default cost of plot for the town.
- shopprice {$} - Sets default cost of a shopplot for the town.
- shoptax {$} - Set taxes collected from each resident daily, per shopplot that they own.
- embassyprice {$} - Sets default cost of a embassy plot for the town.

- title {name} {titlegoeshere} - Mayor command to add a Title to a member of the town.

- {name} - Jails the given player for 1 hour, must be a resident of your own town.
- {name} {hours} - Jails the given player for the given hours.
- {name} {hours} {jail} - Jails the given player for the given hours, in the given jail plot (which is a number.)
- {name} {hours} {jail} {cell} - Jails the given player for the given hours, in the given jail plot and jail cell (which are both numbers.)
- /t unjail {name} - Unjails someone in your town's jail.
- /t cede plot {townname} - Attempts to give the townblock the player is stood in, to the given town.
- /t merge {townname} - {townname} is the town which will be merged into the town owned by the mayor using the command.
